If yo u’ve never tasted Perch, caught fresh from Lake Michigan and
deep-fried in beer-batter, then brother, you haven’t lived! Hey! Hey!
Perch are making their way back in Lake Michigan and the daily limit is 15. Fish along breakwalls and piers that drop off
into deep (12’-20’)
water. Softshell crayfish, spikes, minnows, spinners and jigs are all great baits to use. May and June are prime times. Perch
fishing is closed from July 1 – July 31 to adult anglers. Children under

For rocky areas a SLIP FLOAT RIG is the best way to
catch perch on the outside edge of rocks. Rig the float stop so your jig will be 3 feet off the bottom then cast the float
outside the rocks.
